ADOR (Nantes, France)

With his drawings on canvas, wall, paper or in volume, Nantes-based artist Ador takes over public spaces with his big-eyed, long-nosed characters. Reminiscent of the creatures of Tomi Ungerer, Claude Ponti or the world of Jérôme Bosch, Ador’s parades of characters are joyful and burlesque. Borrowing from the world of the circus, childhood, fairy tales and current events, Ador tells stories, often absurd ones, and what he loves most of all is entertaining the crowd.
